MACAW ENRICHMENT
Project Description
Design a durable and unique enrichment device to engage one of the species of our choice in a specific sector.
These sectors were, the poles, the night, the jungle, the exterior and the lake theatre.
We chose the Jungle pavillion, whch is characterized by a spiral distribution with over twenty eight hundred square meters.
With a humidity level surrounding 80%.
The temperature is maintained close to 28º C.
Process Followed
After receiving the brief we started to identify our objectives, analysed the daily routines of the macaws, the zoo keepers and the visitors we quickly understood that zoo keepers were simple unable to devote too much time to each animal in the whole pavillion given it's size, so we decided to focus on low effort high impact proposals.
